“Be wary of any negativity you hear…
I haven’t stopped playing the Xbox Kinect ever since I got it by standing in line for over 8 hours! Even though I heard a lot of mixed reviews, I will whole heartedly endorse this marvel to anyone. It doesn’t matter what kind of video gaming experience you have.
I really enjoy playing with the Kinect which might be unexpected of a hardcore gamer like myself. To find out why the Kinect is so captivating you would have to experience it yourself as it is hard to describe.
The technology is incredibly accurate and is definitely one of its kind. Microsoft have surpassed themselves with this one. If your are thinking of buying one, I can only say go for it.
The negative remarks you sometimes read in other Kinect reviews are coming from the PS3 camp. They are just not interested in the Kinect.
All the positive reviews you read about this amazing device are in my opinion spot on and not one bit exaggerated. Do yourself a favor and get one, it’s the only way to find out.”

“It comes close to portable gaming perfection…
We have had a PS3 at home for as long as the 60Gb version has been about. As we have two teenage kids, we decided to buy the PSP 3000 Core Pack. It includes the following:
- The PSP 3000 console in a beautiful shiny black finish (doubles as a fingerprint magnet)
- The intructions manual, promos and registration card, etc.
Although the PSP is capable to do quite a bit right out of the box due to its built in Wi-Fi and PS3 integration, you will need a Pro Duo memory stick and some games to improve your gaming experience.
Our first impression was that this console is very versatile and elegant at the same time. It has a bright and large display with a good resolution. The controls are very responsive and it feels like a solid unit. Furthermore there is a built in microphone and sound is produced through the built in speakers or headphones.
Our kids had the console up and running in no time and were enjoying the games and movies we got on UMD discs or Memory sticks. They were also able to watch photos and play music stored on the Memory stick.
A couple of weeks ago I bought the Sony PSP 3000 from Amazon. And as always, I did an indepth research of the product by reading various reviews and checking out relevant websites as well. That is what I normally do when I buy electronic stuff.
Anyway, the research has paid off as I found that the PSP 3000 is a fantastic gaming console. This is a must buy for the discerning gamer. There are of course other portable gaming consoles such as the Nintendo DS Lite, but for me the PSP beats it hands down. It’s got a nice large screen, video playback, great sound and awesome graphics.
The design has been very cleverly thought out to optimize it for gaming purposes. You won’t get any closer to a PS2 or PS3 than this. The battery lasts for ages and I can fairly state that the PSP 3000 is the best choice you can make.”

“Nintendo DSi: Great System. Kids Have Played With This Continuously!
All in all, I love the DSi and I feel that that it is near to perfection compared with the DS & DS Lite. The new camera system is being utilized by DSi games as well as using it to take pictures and uploading them to Facebook. My kids are actually playing much more with the DSi than they ever did with the DS Lite we already have.
One of the big reasons for this is that the device feels really nice to hold. We bought the matte black version and the textured feel of the brushed surface makes holding the DSi very comfortable and you also don’t ever feel as if you might accidentally drop it.
The set up of the DSI was the easiest thing in the world. Connecting the DSi to my wireless network was a snap and worked first time.
Downloading the Opera browser and the WarioWare Snapped game worked instantly using my 1Gb SD card.
The new screen size is a dream, being 0.25 inches larger as on the DS Lite and even the colors are much enhanced and really stand out more than on the DS.”
Two weeks ago I bought my DS Lite and as it turns out, too hasty as I didn’t research my purchase. Later I discovered that the internet was flooded with information that the DSi was being released soon. Although it doesn’t play GBA games, it does have more brightness settings. I was finally sold on the best features this system offered: the bigger screens, the luxurious matte finish and the availability of the DSi shop.
Thus I returned my DS Lite and bought the DSi instead. It proved to be the RIGHT decision this time. First of all, the matte finish is indeed a very pleasant texture. It almost doesn’t leave any fingerprints at all, unlike the glossy finish of the DS Lite. And best of all is the new menu layout of the DSi, which is drastically superior to the DS Lite.
When it comes to the visual side of things, the larger screens may shorten the battery life a little but they are fantastic. The brightest screen setting on the DSi leaves the DS Lite completely in the dark. The brightness is particular advantageous when using the DSi outdoors.
But the DSi shop is really pushing my buttons. There is talk about a virtual console being made available soon and the DSi shop providing “classic” GBA and even GB games in the future. That would even out the lost GBA slot. Never mind though, DSiWare games and apps will be developed and released on a regular bases i.e. every week. You can be sure that a lot of good stuff is coming your way..
If like me, you are new to Nintendo, the DSi would be a very good choice to make. For the DS Lite fans out there, see if the DSi shop starts a virtual console and make a decision accordingly. Overall though, I would recommend this little guy whole heartedly.”
